A height control valve is a key component in air suspension systems, designed to regulate the vehicle’s height regardless of load changes. When a truck is loaded or unloaded, the position of the axle shifts in relation to the chassis. The valve detects this movement and either fills or vents the air springs to return the vehicle to its preset height.
Maintaining a consistent ride height improves load distribution, keeps handling stable, and enhances comfort for both the driver and cargo. It also helps prevent damage to the chassis, suspension components, and tires caused by improper ride height under varying loads.
