Stabilizer bar
The stabilizer bar reduces body roll in corners by linking both sides of the suspension. It improves vehicle control, handling, and overall road safety.
A stabilizer bar, also known as an anti-roll bar or sway bar, connects the left and right sides of the suspension system. When a truck leans during cornering, the bar twists and transfers force to the opposite side, minimizing tilt and helping the vehicle stay level and balanced.
Made from high-strength torsion-resistant steel, the bar is mounted with bushings and end links that allow controlled flex while absorbing stress. Stabilizer bars are common on both front and rear axles, particularly on vehicles that carry variable loads or have a high center of gravity.
Worn stabilizer bars or linkages can result in excessive roll, poor cornering behavior, increased tire wear, or knocking sounds. Regular inspection and timely replacement are key to maintaining road safety and comfort.
