Renewed air dryer cartridge for Volvo and Renault trucks
A new design, same reliability. The air dryer cartridge for Volvo and Renault has been updated to make maintenance easier
Manufacturers are constantly optimising their truck parts to make maintenance easier and more efficient. For example, the design of the bayonet air dryer cartridge for EAC2.5 air dryers, used on various Volvo and Renault trucks, was recently modified. It is important to emphasise that this change is purely visual. The operation, performance and compatibility remain completely identical to the previous version.

What exactly has changed?
The new cartridge features an improved snap-lock connection on the container, making installation and replacement even smoother in the workshop. In addition, the familiar green bands are no longer necessary. This not only reduces packaging material, but also saves time during maintenance and service. For transport companies and garages, this means a more efficient replacement process without the need for adjustments to existing systems.
Will the references remain the same?
There will also be no administrative changes. The existing references will remain valid and can continue to be ordered as before. Technicians can therefore continue to work with the familiar item codes without any risk. The cartridge also comes with the necessary parts, such as the main filter and locking screw, so that a correct replacement can be carried out immediately.
During a transition period, both the old and new designs may be in circulation. This is completely normal and does not pose any technical problems: both versions are fully interchangeable and function exactly the same.
Why is a good air dryer so important?
The air dryer remains an essential part of every truck's pneumatic system. By removing moisture and contamination from the air system, a well-maintained cartridge helps prevent malfunctions, protects valves and pipes, and directly contributes to the reliability and safety of the vehicle. Regular inspection and timely replacement therefore remain crucial for optimal truck performance.
